This is Christiane, or Chrissy, waiting for her train at Gare du Nord to rejoin to her love Cyril.
Ok! Don't look at the screen with wondering faces, I'll explain: Chrissy is not a character I have invented out of the blue but it's a true person, a person who handed down her wonderful story to her granddaughter; and her granddaughter is one of the best actresses I've ever seen on a stage. Caroline Horton enacting her French grandmother's (Chrissy) story is something you cannot forget. This illustration is dedicated to them, Chrissy and Caroline, for having given us such a good story to remember!
English deviants, if you ever happen to see in your local theatre a colorful flyer with a funny girl wearing glasses and a title reading "You're not like the other girls, Chrissy",do not even think...book a ticket for the show right away! You will not regret it!
